CAF Reschedules 2025 Africa Nations Championship to August

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced new dates for the postponed 2025 Africa Nations Championship. Originally scheduled for January 1 to 28, the tournament will now take place from August 2 to 30. The decision was made following a meeting of the CAF Executive Committee in Rabat, Morocco, chaired by President Dr. Patrice Motsepe.

Kenya is placed in Group A alongside two-time champions Morocco, DR Congo, Angola, and Zambia. DR Congo and Morocco share the record for the most titles in the competition, with two crowns each, while Senegal, the reigning champions, secured their first CHAN title in 2022. Libya and Tunisia have already withdrawn from the tournament.

The competition, which features domestic-based players, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
