Main Suspect in Eastleigh Murders Denies Charges Before Justice Kimondo

The main suspect in the gruesome murders of four women from Eastleigh late last year was today charged in court. Hashim Dagane alias Hashim Khalif appeared virtually before Justice Kanyi Kimondo.

He denied murdering Dahabo Daud Said Alias Waris, Amina Dhahir, Musayba Abdi Mohamed and Deka Abdi Noor Gorane in October last year. According to the charge sheet, Dahabo was murdered at the Kyumbi area within Machakos County.

Amina and Abdi were murdered in Parklands area, Nairobi County. Deka was reportedly murdered at Valley Heights Apartments, Lavington area in Nairobi. Hashim who is currently at the Nairobi area remand and Allocation prison sought to be released on bail.

The Prosecution, however, opposed his release on bail. They are to file an affidavit detailing their reasons within seven days.

The case will be mentioned on February 11 for further directions.
