Jackson’s Injury Exposes Chelsea’s Transfer Blunders

Chelsea forward, Nicolas Jackson, has been ruled out for approximately six weeks due to a hamstring injury. The 23-year-old sustained the injury in Chelsea’s match against West Ham two weeks ago. Although manager Enzo Maresca initially hoped Jackson had avoided a major setback, scans have revealed the issue to be more severe than anticipated.

Jackson, who has netted nine goals this season, is currently Chelsea's second-highest scorer, behind Cole Palmer with 14 goals. The striker is not expected to return until after the international break at the end of March. His absence leaves Chelsea without a recognized number nine, especially after Marc Guiu, who had replaced Jackson in the West Ham game, suffered a serious groin injury during the same match.

Maresca's side, currently fourth in the Premier League, will face Brighton away tomorrow in their next league fixture.
